Russian Luttick Rifle

A foreign baby from a  far off land. Family name is Luttick,  Russian by birth  and breeding but there must have been a German Jaeger in the ancestry.  A nicely designed and executed mid- century carbine much resembling the English Brunswick rifle including the back action percussion lock.

Military round, tapered barrel by Whitacre for 58 caliber Minie Ball, barrel held in by three keys, much better than military grade European walnut stock, back action lock, brass furniture including patch box, sling swivels, now recognizable for what it is and where it came from. Watch for more pics as this Cadet grows up.
