The crude drawing shows roughly what the pistol will look like
eventually. The barrel brech and action/trigger guard are military rifle
sized: they will get trimmed down a good deal in order to slim the
pistol up. The lock is Queene Anne sized: it will match nicely with some
period engraving added.
It will end up with the dimensions of a 1770 Heavy Horse Pistol. They
were large calibered pistols, usually carried in a saddle holster, big
enuff to take down your opponents horse then club the rider to
insensibility with the brass butt of the now empty pistol. Watch for
